A special locally impactful night to celebrate the wisdom, inspiration and magic of mothers!
You are invited to a FARM-to-FORK DINNER featuring the freshest most local food from our farmers, the most genius local chefs from Roosters, Blue Restaurant and Bar, 300 East and more! Local music, a silent auction, a bring-your-own wine glass contest, and so much more fun all to benefit Friendship Trays – A non-for profit meals-on-wheels organization who feeds more than 700 people a day. Come and bring your friends! Dinner guests are invited to write a poem or story about the wisdom or inspiration of their mother or someone who was wonderfully maternal.
- Roosters Wood Fired Grill is preparing Bird Brain Ranch Grilled Ostrich with New Town Farm Turnips, and Fisher Farms sweet potato puree in a red wine reduction.
- Blue Restaurant and Bar is preparing: Sherry-braised beef shank from Proffitt Farms over a sweet potato (Fisher Farms 1933) salad with roasted mushrooms (Landis Mushroom Farm) and Marcona almonds.
- Chef Ashley Boyd of 300 East is creating Burnt-Honey Creme with Persimmon Sponge and Crisp Thyme Merengue! The eggs are from Laughing Owl Farm, the Honey is from Marcel Renn’s Bee Farm, the thyme and persimmons will be backyard local.
- We have not decided on the salad yet, but the parts for that will most likely come from Small City Farm.
